Tampa Bay Buccaneers leading rusher Earnest Graham will miss the rest of the season after injuring his right ankle during last week's victory over the Minnesota Vikings. Graham limped off the field after his only carry against the Vikings. The Bucs said he hurt his ankle, but did not release specifics about the injury.


Vikings' Allen fined $25K, not suspended (AP)
Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen will not be suspended for a spate of late hits. Coach Brad Childress said he was told by the NFL that Allen will be fined $25,000, but not punished further. Allen was summoned to the league office Tuesday to talk about his play. Defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier went with him.

The lawyer for three New Orleans Saints players facing suspension said Wednesday the NFL's independent drug adminstrator acknowledged he did not inform NFL players that the supplement StarCaps contained a banned diuretic. WR Williamson wants to fight Childress (AP)
Former first-round draft pick Troy Williamson never really got along with coach Brad Childress in Minnesota. His feelings haven't changed since leaving there, either. Williamson, now in Jacksonville, said Wednesday he lost respect for his former coach last year and would like to "duke it out" with him when the Jaguars host the Vikings on Sunday.

Brett Favre is having too much fun leading the first-place New York Jets to even think about next season. "I don't see how anyone, aside from you guys, can focus on next year when what we're trying to do right now is win and do something this year," Favre told reporters Wednesday. "I'm 39 years old. I know the better days are behind me, for the most part.

Browns' Winslow to have MRI on shoulder (AP)
Cleveland Browns tight end Kellen Winslow will have an MRI on his right shoulder after injuring it in the closing minutes of Monday night's win over the Buffalo bills. Winslow was hurt when he was tackled in front of Buffalo's bench while making a 16-yard reception that set up Cleveland's game-winning field goal.
